ESPASSO is pleased to present the “Taguaíba” lounge chair, designer Carlos Motta’s latest creation. The lightweight freijó structure features elegantly smooth lines with suede upholstery. The back’s metal fastenings exemplifies the spectacular craftsmanship and minute attention to detail showcased in the piece.

For the last 30 years, the award-winning Motta has been handcrafting furniture out of reclaimed hardwoods. The designer uses manual tools and traditional joinery techniques to imbue charm and identity to his furniture, all produced in his atelier in São Paulo. One of Brazil’s most respected designers, Motta has been called “a creator who sets trends” by Sergio Rodrigues.
